About Us
Killer started out as a Christmas gift about 6 years ago. A father got him for his family but when he brought him home, but his wife absolutely did NOT want a pet in their household (…psychopath). The man then took the little guy to his nearby bank and stood out front with a pet carrier, food and a leash. He was soon picked up and taken to another home. This man took the small dog to his home, but HIS wife didn’t want a dog EITHER. He took this twice rejected dog to work with him the next day to see if anyone would take him before he ended up in a shelter..
The moment Killer’s father laid eyes on him, he was in love. He didn’t tell Killer’s future mother and surprised her when he picked her up from work (who fell equally if not more in love with him). Killer had finally found his people, his home and his place in the world.
One day in February, Killer’s parents were on Craigslist looking for old furniture to refurbish. Killer’s mother stumbled upon a page looking to trade puppies from an “unwanted litter” for X-Box or Playstation games, cell phones, and other random electronics. There was a photo attached at the bottom of the page with a bunch of dirty and thin puppies in a pen outside with an empty food and water bowl in it. Killer’s parents hearts’ broke. They felt immediately compelled to drive 2 hours away from home to help them. When they arrived, the puppies were emaciated, covered in urine and feces outside in a pen in the cold. Riley was smooshed at the very bottom of the pile of dirty puppies and that’s when his parents knew, he was the one.
